Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a 2026 Summer Intern Software Engineer\. In this role you will participate in the full development lifecycle, from requirements and design to implementation, testing, hardware integration, and sustainment\. Along the way, you'll develop your own software skills, learn how we integrate hardware and software, build interpersonal relationships with peers to facilitate healthy collaboration, and deliver on customer needs\. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of software/hardware integration, rapid development prototyping, and testing\. Must be a US Citizen ; this position will require a government security clearance\. This position is located at a facility that requires special access\. **Basic Qualifications:** - Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline - Experience with C, C\+\+, Java, or a related language Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance\. This position is located at a facility that requires special access\. **Desired Skills:** - Ability to work independently, and as a team to build test and deliver code - Experience with Agile methodologies - Knowledge of computer architectures and hardware - Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Teams **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\. **Clearance Level:** Secret **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\.
