WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The  Senior Merchant, Energy North America will report directly to the Director of Merchan dising Energy. Nike Energy is the team responsible for driving authentic consumer connection to sport culture. We do this through the lens of innovative product concepts, collaboration projects and visionary marketing activations and storytelling. This pers on will collaborate across global and geo with the End in Mind energy product assortment. This role will lead and influence with a strong consumer first mindset, ensuring every product decision is rooted in culture relevance and marketplace opportunity. This ideal candidate combines merchandising expertise with storytelling, detail orientation, and ability to blend art and science to deliver game changing results. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Product Creation or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • 2-5+ Years of experience in Merchandising, Product Creation or Sales.
  • Proven ability to translate consumer and cultural insights into end in mind assortments 
  • Experience monitoring and understanding trends, and applying that understanding to serve the consumer
  • Enterprise mindset with a deep commitment to put the consumer at the heart of all you do.
  • Track record of balancing multiple projects, timelines and priorities in a fast-paced  environment
  • Sharp attention, ensuring systems, timelines and seasonal readiness are consistently met 
  • Marketplace understanding and expertise
  • Product, fashion and style acumen 
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, connect and effectively communicate on future trend and cultural shifts (Micro and Macro)
  • Strong communication and storytelling abilities
  • Collaborative and team-oriented

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this role, you will support the Lead Merchant to capture geo needs on Nike Quick Strike, Collaborations and White Space for Nike Energy. You ’ ll ensure systems readiness and communicate key updates to stakeholders while  managing footwear and apparel assortments for some of Nike's most coveted products within our portfolio . You will also support the Lead Merchant in  cross functional collaboration  with Global merchandising, sales, business integrations, planning and brand marketing from line planning through handoff to the marketplace teams.
