Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Finance to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of charter technology solutions. In this role, you'll lead financial operations, help build scalable financial systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement processes for daily financial reconciliations with partners.
Oversee general accounting, bookkeeping, and internal financial systems.
Transition outsourced financial work in-house and help build internal processes for financial management.
Work closely with HR to audit employee financial records, including W-2s, HSAs, and other related documents.
Manage wire transactions, both inbound and outbound.
Prepare and communicate daily finance reports, covering credit card holds, payment reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable management, and bookkeeping.
Maintain accurate profit and loss statements, forecast cash flow, and ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Lead process development from the ground up, building scalable financial systems to support company growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
Strong ability to develop and manage financial processes, including reconciliation and forecasting.
Proficiency in managing accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), cash flow forecasting, and P&L maintenance.
A self-starter attitude with strong analytical skills and a passion for finance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in early-stage startups, particularly in building financial systems from scratch.
Familiarity with aviation finance and Federal Excise Tax (FET).
Exposure to compliance and strategic financial planning.
