Our small but mighty team is highly trained and offers students the chance to manage their own cases from start to finish, and to practice their surgical skills.
Program Overview:
We host students in two- to eight-week blocks, adapting your externship experience to your school program requirements and your current knowledge and skill levels. Our typical student schedule involves 30 to 35 hours per week, with a focus on afternoons and evenings when the most interesting cases are seen. More advanced third- and fourth-year students can make diagnostic and treatment decisions and perform surgery under the attending veterinarian’s supervision and mentorship.
