In this role, you’ll handle essential responsibilities that keep the operating rooms running smoothly and safely. Core duties include decontamination, instrument inspection, cleaning, packaging, and sterilization using steam and other approved modalities, followed by load validation and accurate instrument tracking. You’ll restock and distribute sterile items to surgical areas, manage inventories, and maintain meticulous documentation to ensure compliance with AAMI and hospital policies. You’ll partner with sterile processing leadership, OR teams, and infection prevention to uphold quality standards, reduce turnaround times, and support patient safety.
