**Responsibilities**
As a Transporter at St. Bernardine Medical Center, you play a critical role in the safe, timely, and compassionate movement of patients and essential items throughout the hospital. Whether assisting with admissions, transfers, discharges, or responding to urgent codes, your focus on safety, efficiency, and patient dignity helps support seamless hospital operations and enhance the overall patient experience.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Transport patients safely across various departments, always using proper equipment and safety practices
+ Coordinate the movement of specimens, equipment, and other medical materials as needed
+ Assist in the setup and takedown of overhead frames and trapezes, supporting limited ortho-tech tasks
+ Maintain cleanliness and functionality of transport equipment after each use
+ Respond promptly and professionally to hospital codes and support emergency situations
+ Respect and support patients' cultural beliefs and maintain a compassionate and patient-centered approach
+ Foster collaboration across departments and participate in ongoing quality improvement efforts

**Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.
+ Basic Life Support Certification, American Heart Association (BLS-AHA) required.
+ Ability to learn and perform required tasks
