About the Information Systems team

The Information Systems team is responsible for the operation and security of the store and corporate networks, including the hardware, software, communication and human resources that comprise them. The IS team is also responsible for network and data security, and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and security standards.

About the Store Systems Hardware Technician Position

The Store Systems Hardware Technician installs and repairs store computers, printers, cash registers, and other store network equipment; coordinates and tracks items for outside repair; Maintains in-store networks.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions

  • Install, maintain and repair printers, cash registers, computers and other store network components.
  • Fulfill store hardware orders utilizing the Bi-Mart PTS system.
  • Communicate with the Store Systems Support, Computer Operations/Helpdesk, and Network Services departments to provide support for store hardware and network components.
  • Provide telephone support to assist store management with installation and/or troubleshooting of store hardware and network components.
  • Perform the installation and termination of network cabling using assorted ladders and scissor lifts.
  • Travel to both existing and new store locations to perform maintenance and installation duties as directed by management.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work area.
  • Complete all administrative record keeping in a neat, accurate, and timely manner.

Experience:

2+ years computer installation/repair experience preferred.

Previous experience on an IT Hardware team, and other computer and technology related roles are a plus.

Pay:

Bi-weekly / On-Demand

Schedule:

Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Hours may vary depending on workload and assignment. Travel to stores with occasional evening and overnight work.
