Job Description

**GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION** The Sr Manager of Buying and Inventory will be an integral part of the FreshRealm Supply Chain team, leading a team of talented buyers to meet customer service levels and manage inventory levels across the network. This person will work in conjunction with Sourcing, Logistics, Operations, Business Development, and Culinary teams to ensure we have the right inventory at the right time to support customer demand and growth. The Buying team plays a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations to ensure the efficient production and distribution of food products while maintaining quality standards and minimizing costs. This role requires a strategic thinker who is able to develop the team, build the tools, and improve processes to meet current business needs as well as scale for the future. **MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** + Develop and implement supply planning strategies tailored to the unique requirements of food manufacturing, including perishability, seasonal demand fluctuations, and regulatory compliance + Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, planning, and account management, to gather input on demand forecasts, production capabilities, and inventory targets + Optimize systemic buying parameters to meet inventory goals and targets while meeting customer service level targets + Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, ingredients, and finished goods to identify potential risks and opportunities for optimization + Implement tools and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of purchasing + Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, driving continuous process optimization and cost reduction initiatives. + Lead cross-functional meetings to review supply chain performance, address any issues or concerns, and collaborate on solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. + Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in food manufacturing and supply chain management to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. + Deliver results against KPI's for inventory on hand and Fill Rate performance versus goal **QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB** **Skills and Requirements** + 2+years of experience in leadership role in Buyingor Category management + 8+ yearsof experience in Buying, Inventory Management, or Category Management + Strong verbal and written communication skills + ERP system experience + Strong analytical experience and Excel skills **Experience / Education** + Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Business, Supply Chain, computer science, statistics, engineering, mathematics, numerical analysis or related field **What We Offer** + Comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including medical, dental, vision, pet insurance and legal insurance + 401(k) with company match that is immediately vested + Life and ADD insurance + Opportunities for career growth with a dynamic company that is changing the landscape of fresh meals. + Paid time off **Our Values at Work** We believe that **ACTIONS** speak louder than words and our company values align to those **ACTIONS.** **In Our Daily Work, This Looks Like** + **ACCOUNTABILITY:** Set clear objectives and prioritize your tasks Hold yourself and your teams accountable for meeting deadlines Learn from your mistakes and use it as a learning opportunity to improve next time + **CHALLENGE WITH CURIOSITY** : We challenge and engage with each other through curiosity and a drive to innovate and transform.
