Job Description

**About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Underwriter in Consumer Lending in Auto Key Responsibilities: + Review and analyze complex consumer credit applications for auto loans. + Evaluate credit bureau reports, income documentation, collateral valuation, and other supporting materials. + Make sound credit decisions within established authority levels using both automated scoring systems and manual underwriting. + Communicate decisions and rationale clearly to internal partners and customers. + Ensure credit files are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory and company standards. + Collaborate with internal teams to resolve application issues and provide recommendations. + Maintain awareness of risk and compliance requirements throughout the underwriting process. **Required Qualifications:** + 4+ years of Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education **Desired Qualifications:** + 4+ years of experience in underwriting, loan processing, originations, or closing. + Strong understanding of credit principles and lending practices. + Proficiency in reviewing financial documents and assessing creditworthiness. + Extensive experience in auto lending or consumer finance. + Familiarity with underwriting systems and tools. + Strong communication and decision-making skills. **Expectations:** + Every Saturday working day with a rotation for Sundays + Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. + Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities. + Commitment to accuracy, compliance, and customer service excellence. + Positions will be remote with a preference of proximity to our hubs in Chandler, AZ or Irving (Dallas), TX **Posting End Date:** 18 Nov 2025 **_*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants._** **We Value Equal Opportunity** Wells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
