Position Details:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant who will be primarily responsible for the accounting and reporting associated with certain cost centers. This individual will record accruals and other journal entries, prepare account reconciliations, analyze expense fluctuations and trends and prepare and distribute monthly reports to Management with related results insight. In addition, this individual will assist with other projects undertaken by the Finance Group, as necessary. This individual should have a solid understanding of accounting rules (GAAP). This individual will manage the completion of day-to-day transactions against deadlines and collaborate with other internal groups.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record monthly purchase orders and other accrual journal entries for assigned Company cost centers.
• Identify, obtain relevant support and prepare journal entries for prepaid expenses and other items, as necessary.
• Work closely with departmental teams to ensure accuracy of purchase orders and their related accrual process.
• Review and record related cost center allocations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly fluctuations in responsible cost centers and assist in assessing the propriety of accounting.
• Prepare, deliver and obtain approval for monthly cost center reports and communicate results to Management.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Analyze monthly and quarterly trends in professional services and other accounts by vendor and investigate significant or unusual items.
• Support international accounting and FP&A teams, as necessary.
• Provide internal and external auditor assistance.
• Assist with other projects undertaken by Finance Group, as necessary.

Requirements:

• BS Degree in Accounting
• 5 to 7 years of experience including public accounting and a large multi-national organization preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Experience and comfort in working with individuals across various organizational levels.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Oracle experience preferred or any other large ERP system.
• Attention to detail.
• Proactive.
• Dependable & team player.
• Multi-task oriented.
• Experience in R&D is a plus.
