We want you to apply! **Job Summary and Qualifications** Seeking an experienced Mother Baby Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs and are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today! + You will be knowledgeable of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition. + You will perform a head-to-toe assessment on maternal and newborn and reassessments as per policy. + You will formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness. + You will communicate appropriately and clearly to charge nurse, coworkers and physicians. + You will consult other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needs. + You will coordinate and supervise patient care, as necessary. + You will demonstrate an ability to assist physicians with procedures in the mother/baby area. + You will interact professionally with patient/family and involve patient/family in the formation of the plan of care. + You will maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments. + You will identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and family. **Qualifications:** + Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.\ + Current California Registered Nurse (R.N.) license. + A Registered Nurse who has one (1) year of full-time equivalent or more of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse. + Basic Cardiac Life Support + Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date + CA (RN) Registered Nurse License Good Samaritan Hospital ( has been serving Silicon Valley since 1965, giving patient's access to highly-trained physicians and advanced technology.
