Registered Nurse – Endoscopy (Pre & Post Procedural) Travel Position Location: State College, PA Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday–Friday, 5×8 Days (No Call, No Weekends) Pay: $2,270/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) Position Summary ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Pre and Post Procedural Endoscopy Unit assignment in State College, Pennsylvania. The RN will provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe, compassionate, and efficient care before, during, and after treatment. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong critical thinking skills, IV therapy proficiency, and the ability to manage fast-paced patient flow while maintaining clinical accuracy and patient comfort. Key Responsibilities

• Assess and respond to patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs before and after endoscopy procedures.
• Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring comfort, dignity, and understanding of all aspects of care.
• Admit, prepare, and recover patients in accordance with procedural and anesthesia requirements.
• Perform IV therapy, monitor vital signs, maintain airway safety, and administer medications as directed.
• Communicate patient assessments, changes in condition, and progress to physicians and care team members to coordinate care.
• Demonstrate understanding of diagnostic procedures (labs, radiology, EKGs) and interpret clinical data accurately.
• Transcribe and implement physician orders efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure proper completion of all patient documentation, including pre-procedure verification, site marking, and anesthesiologist evaluation prior to surgery.
• Provide clear and effective patient and family education regarding pre- and post-procedure care and discharge instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment; assist with housekeeping duties as needed.
• Utilize supplies and equipment responsibly to manage resources cost-effectively.
• Float as needed to support patient flow, provide staff relief for breaks, and assist other units within scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or Compact State RN license (required).
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in perioperative, pre/post-procedural, or endoscopy nursing (required).

* Required Certifications (AHA):

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Strong IV therapy and airway management skills required.
• Knowledge of pre- and post-anesthesia recovery protocols.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed).
• Recent tuberculosis (TB) test required.
