Key Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and execution of public relations campaigns to promote nonprofit initiatives

• Represent our organization at community events , outreach efforts, and press engagements

• Assist in building and maintaining relationships with media contacts, local leaders , and partner organizations

• Draft and edit press releases, newsletters, blog posts , and social media content

• Coordinate event logistics , media invites, and promotional materials

• Monitor and report on media coverage , public sentiment, and campaign effectiveness

• Collaborate with marketing, outreach, and leadership teams to maintain a consistent brand voice and message

Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• A genuine passion for community engagement , advocacy , or nonprofit work

• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask under deadlines

• Positive, proactive attitude and a desire to learn

• Ability to work both independently and in collaborative team settings

• Coursework or experience in PR, journalism, communications , or related fields is a plus—but not required
