Role: Project Manager

Location: 600 Travis St, Floor 16 , Houston, TX, 77002-3009

Type: 100% Onsite

Duration : 7 Months

Responsibilities:

• Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers working on moderately complex tasks.
• Offer input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiency and team functionality.
• Ensure successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders, including cloud platform engineering teams, to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable cloud applications.
• Execute creative software design, development, and troubleshooting to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review/debug code written by others.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to enhance operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Influence peers and thought leaders to drive awareness and adoption of emerging technologies.
• Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, opportunity, and respect within the team.
• Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical challenges.
• Hands-on leadership at code level in Python, Azure SDK, and proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong ability to guide and coach teams toward achieving goals aligned with strategic initiatives.
• Experience in hiring, developing, and recognizing technical talent.
• Expertise in Azure services - Storage, Compute, Integration, IAM, and Network.
• Practical experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Azure cloud-native solutions.
• Proficiency in automation and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Knowledge of Azure policy writing, testing, and cloud security best practices, with a strong understanding of Azure governance.
• Demonstrated experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
• Understanding of Azure AI services.
• In-depth knowledge of the services industry and related IT systems.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
