Prep Cook and Line Cook Location Jerseyville, IL :

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook and Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and cooking a variety of menu items, ensuring high quality, speed, and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Set up and stock food stations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Assist with inventory checks and restocking.
• Plate and garnish dishes for service.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Line Cook, preferably in a restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Any relevant culinary certifications or training a plus.

• Proficiency in knife handling and food preparation.
• Experience with a variety of cooking equipment and techniques.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized workstation.
