El Cajon Physical Therapy is looking for a Podiatrist to join our team!

Our clinic is located in El Cajon, San Diego, close to Downtown San Diego. We are hiring a Podiatrist to diagnose and treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including injuries, infections, and deformities, using both medical and surgical approaches, and provide preventative care to a diverse group of patients.

The clinic offers primarily physical therapy services. The space is divided into two (2) sections, one for Physical Therapy services and the other section for Podiatry services. The Podiatry clinic boasts of two (2) examination rooms, a lobby and receptionist area. As the patient population grows there will be more space allocated for examination rooms. There is a built-in referral process and 20 - 30 patients daily are guaranteed.

Education and Experience :

  • Current active license as a Podiatrist in the State of California
  • Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
  • Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
  • Minimum of three (3) years of applicable professional experience
  • Proficient computer skills. Experience using EMR systems
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Make decisions in a busy work environment

Responsibilities

  • Examine patients’ legs and feet to determine and diagnose diseases and develop care plans
  • Treat bone, muscle and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
  • Perform wound care management
  • Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results

  • Advise patients about treatment plans and foot and ankle care techniques to help with prevention of future problems
  • Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team members
  • Provide patients with health promotions and preventive medication
