- The Podiatrist will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop effective care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients' feet and lower limbs to assess their condition.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of podiatric issues, including injuries, infections, and chronic conditions.
- Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments and medical history.
- Perform necessary procedures such as minor surgeries, wound care, and orthotic fittings.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals in the hospital setting for discharge planning and integrated patient care.
- Educate patients on foot health, preventive measures, and proper footwear choices.
- Stay updated on advancements in podiatry practices and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients clearly.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and coding.
