Summary:

This position specializes in underground sewer maintenance and is responsible for a range of duties associated with the inspection, repair, and maintenance of sewer pipelines. This role will use specialized equipment for sewer repair, maintenance, and rehabilitation services.

Essential Functions:

  • Efficiently load materials and equipment for transportation to and from the job site.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on sewer pipelines, including using various tools and equipment to resolve issues.
  • Install new pipeline components or replace damaged sections during maintenance or upgrade projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Complete all necessary tasks to assist in carrying out sewer maintenance.
  • Work with specialized equipment, including boilers, robot cameras, and cutters.
  • Perform job site setup and cleanup.
  • Utilize trenchless technology to repair pipelines, including both mains and laterals.
  • Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities and complex issues.
  • Ensure that tasks are performed safely with the highest level of quality and integrity.
  • Arrive at the office or job site on time and ready to work.
  • Travel to various job sites as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license is required, and pass a DOT drug test.
  • Must be able to obtain a 1st Class B permit within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check, and be able to participate in a random drug screening program as required by FMCSA.
  • Must be willing and able to travel weekly as required and on weekends as needed.
  • Must adhere to safety policies and procedures, contribute to maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and demonstrate proficiency in wearing and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English effectively.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience working in a physical labor position with outdoor construction is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to enter and perform work in confined spaces such as close quarters, crawl spaces, manholes, and other areas.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and maintain a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:  In an industrial setting, exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, as well as noisy conditions and hazardous chemicals, is possible. Conditions include tight spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation. Position requires climbing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, standing for long periods, and using hands and fingers to operate tools.

  Travel Requirements: Must be willing and able to travel  weekly as required and on weekends as needed.
