Mid Cities Psychiatry specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health illnesses, including treatment-resistant depression and substance use disorders.

We are looking for a Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA)

Job Description:

  • Join a highly trained and diversified team of mental health professionals
  • Will be seeing patients in an outpatient clinic
  • Must be able to evaluate, identify, diagnose and treat patients with behavioral or emotional disorders for ages 16 and up
  • Must be able to conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication and evaluate treatment results
  • Must be able to coordinate/communicate with the interdisciplinary team which includes physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and a team of therapists in managing patient challenges/behavioral dysfunction
  • At least 2 years of experience in the clinical settings
  • Completing the notes in the timely fashion
  • Full Time Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • No Call No Weekends

  • Depending upon the patient’s needs, hybrid appointments are scheduled

Qualifications:

  • Master's (Required)
  • PA licensure from the Texas State Board of Physician Assistants
  • Certification from NCCPA
  • US work authorization (Required)
  • Specialization: to see patients in an outpatient clinic setting
  • Strong clinical background with solid experience in Psychiatry
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, collaborative, curious, and proactive
  • Responsive to a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a working knowledge of EMR/EHR
  • At least 2 years of experience in the clinical settings
  • Bi-lingual is a plus
