Job Title: Part-Time Payroll - HR Specialist (Paychex Experience Required )
Location: 74-09, 37th avenue, Jackson heights, NY (U.S.-Based Candidates Only)
Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week

About Us :We are a fast-growing professional services and SaaS company serving legal professionals across the U.S. As we continue to expand, we're seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing and compliance using Paychex Flex .

Job Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to handle weekly and biweekly payroll processing for a multi-state workforce. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, trustworthy, and fully proficient with Paychex Flex .

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and biweekly payroll for W-2 and 1099 employees using Paychex Flex
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Manage employee records and pay data, including PTO, bonuses, and deductions
• Handle payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations
• Respond to employee payroll questions in a timely and professional manner
• Coordinate with HR and finance teams as needed
• Onboarding and new hire paperwork of employees
• Assisting in Recruitment if required

Requirements

• 2+ years of payroll experience using Paychex Flex (non-negotiable)
• Strong knowledge of payroll best practices and relevant employment laws
• Experience processing payroll for remote, multi-state teams
• High attention to detail and confidentiality
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with legal or professional services firms
• Knowledge of contractor (1099) payment processing

Schedule & Pay

• ~10 hours per week, flexible schedule
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
