Description Robert Half is partnering with a dynamic ecommerce company in downtown Buffalo, NY on their search for an Accounting & Operations Specialist. This is a Direct Hire in-office role with a starting salary of $60,000 - $65,000. This newly created position directly reports to and supports the VP of Finance & Operations. In this role you will focus on the daily financial, administrative, and HR operations of the organization. Responsibilities include but not limited to: + Process accounts payable, vendor invoices, and payments while maintaining accurate financial records in QuickBooks + Support month-end close by reconciling bank, credit card, PayPal, and Stripe accounts + Maintain purchasing and inventory controls, ensuring accuracy across ERP, Shopify, and internal tracking systems + Assist with payroll processing, time tracking, and journal entries using Paychex and QuickBooks + Provide HR administrative support including job postings, applicant screening, onboarding, and employee record maintenance + Ensure compliance with internal policies and labor regulations, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive data + Coordinate office operations, purchasing, and vendor communications to ensure efficient day-to-day workflows + Collaborate with leadership to improve processes and support accurate financial reporting Requirements + Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered + 2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping, finance, or administrative support roles + Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable using technology and digital tools + Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management + Effective communicator with the ability to handle confidential information professionally Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
