**Description:**
Come join the Centralized Transportation team at Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England! We are a member of the nationwide Trinity Health family, bringing compassionate care to our communities.
**Position Purpose:**
Under direction of the Director, Patient Transport, individual will transport patients and visitors to destinations throughout the hospital via the mini cab (golf cart) in a safe and timely manner.
**What you will do:**
+ Demonstrates a commitment to consistently provide the highest quality services in a professional manner.
+ Transport patients and visitors to desired locations in a timely and safe manner following proper departmental procedure.
+ Completes patient transportation within expected time frames.
+ Utilizes proper mini cab (golf cart) techniques and etiquette
+ Promptly responds to patient transportation requests
+ Ability to understand and apply knowledge of basic patient safety concepts, infection control practices, and proper body mechanics.
+ Contributes to the achievement of excellence following hospital and departmental guidelines.
**Working Conditions:**
+ Position requires ability to frequently assist in the lifting of objects/individuals, perform moderately difficult manipulative, gross body and hand-eye coordination skills; and sit for prolonged periods of time
+ Full-time general hospital environment with considerable periods of sitting and some walking
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Education: High School Diploma Required
+ Experience: Customer service experience required & previous golf cart driving experience desired
+ Licensure: Valid driver's license
+ Job Skills: Effective organizational and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary; ability to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner. Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills.
