Job Summary:

A Maintenance HVAC Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role ensures that HVAC systems operate efficiently and effectively, providing a comfortable environment for occupants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and Test Systems: Regularly inspect and test HVAC systems and components to identify any issues.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure systems function efficiently.
• Repairs: Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring in HVAC systems.
• Installation: Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems as needed.
• System Adjustments: Adjust system controls recommended settings and test performance.
• Documentation: Document all maintenance and repair work done on HVAC systems.
• Safety Compliance: Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and leadership team to explain work done and provide maintenance tips.
• Inventory Management: Order and maintain inventory of HVAC supplies and equipment with approval from leadership.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED; vocational training or certification in HVAC preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Certifications: EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

• Location: Work performed in industrial environments.
• Schedule: Full-time position with potential for overtime and weekend work.
