Partnered with a facility in eastern Kentucky that has an opportunity for an Emergency Medicine physician to provide locum coverage.
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: 12-hour day, night, or weekend shifts
No call
Level IV Trauma
Annual Volume: 14,000 patients
Facility: 10 ED beds
Support Staff: 10-hour APP coverage
EMR: Meditech
Board certification required

Must be a board-certified Emergency Medicine with extensive experience in acute and emergency care
A compassionate, patient-focused approach is essential for providing top-notch call coverage
Familiarity with Locum Tenens work and a willingness to adapt to diverse clinical settings
Proven ability to manage busy, 24-hour shifts while remaining calm and efficient
Excellent communication skills to ensure smooth collaboration with local healthcare teams
A strong commitment to community health in the beautiful Bluegrass state
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered MD or DO Kentucky state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as an Emergency Medicine
One year of EMR experience

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
