Staffworks Group is hiring Refrigeration Technicians.

The
Refrigeration Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. This role ensures that cooling systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, chillers, ice machines, and HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using specialized tools and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical components.
• Recharge systems with proper refrigerants in accordance with EPA regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Replace defective parts such as compressors, motors, valves, and controls.
• Calibrate thermostats and system controls to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain accurate service records, logs, and documentation for all work performed.
• Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations related to refrigerant handling and disposal.
• Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding project updates and service recommendations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• 3+ years of experience in refrigeration service, maintenance, or installation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic control systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

• Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
• May involve climbing, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces.
• On-call or after-hours availability may be required.
