Fantastic contract opportunities are now available for professional and highly skilled helicopter pilots to join McDermott Aviation, Australia’s largest privately-owned heli-aviation company. With over 40 years of experience in aerial firefighting, heavy lifting, and emergency assistance across some of the most challenging and fast-paced environments globally, we operate a fleet of more than 50 aircraft supported by a highly skilled team of pilots, engineers, and support staff.
Due to the upcoming Australian Fire Season, we are seeking expressions of interest for multiple touring/contract positions across our fleet.
To Be Considered, Candidates Should Ideally Have
The Role
In this role, you will operate a variety of helicopters across our fleet, providing aerial services to a broad range of clients. You will be responsible for ensuring safe and compliant operations in line with all relevant aviation regulations and company policies. This includes performing thorough pre- and post-flight inspections, monitoring weather and flight conditions, and maintaining operational awareness to ensure safety and professionalism at all times.
About You
To succeed in this role, you must be flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing environments. You will hold the necessary CASA and/or FAA licences and medical clearances, communicate clearly and professionally, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and performance excellence.
As some of our aircraft are N-registered (U.S. registered), holding an FAA Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL(H)) is highly regarded and advantageous for operational flexibility.
