Job Title: Full-time Carpet and Air Duct Cleaning Technician

Location: Lexington, Kentucky

Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday - Friday (occasional optional overtime)

Pay: $18–$25/hr starting + commission (typical techs earn $22–$32/hr total)

Job Summary:

PureClean Carpet and Air Duct Cleaning is hiring a full-time, reliable, and hardworking Technician to join our team in Lexington. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, can follow instructions, works well independently, and wants the opportunity to grow into a leadership role as the company expands.

You’ll perform professional carpet, upholstery, tile, and air duct cleaning; maintain equipment; deliver excellent customer service; document jobs with photos; and request customer reviews after each service. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality work.

Air Duct Cleaning

• Operate air duct cleaning systems safely and effectively
• Inspect HVAC systems and identify buildup or blockages
• Set up/tear down equipment and containment
• Clean supply/return lines, blower motors, coils, and registers
• Apply sanitizers/deodorizers as needed
• Document before/after conditions with photos

Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

• Inspect carpet, upholstery, and tile for stains or concerns
• Mix/apply cleaning solutions properly
• Operate extraction, steam, or low-moisture equipment
• Spot-treat stains, odors, and high-traffic areas
• Ensure proper drying and ventilation

Customer Service

• Explain cleaning processes and expectations clearly
• Provide honest service recommendations
• Maintain a respectful, professional presence in customer homes
• Resolve questions or concerns on-site
• Ask customers for reviews and feedback after service

Operations

• Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicle cleanliness
• Track chemical use and inventory
• Complete digital or paper job reports
• Follow safety protocols and company policies
• Arrive on time and manage daily routes efficiently

Physical Requirements

• Lift/move equipment (50–75 lbs)
• Work in tight spaces (attics, crawlspaces)
• Work in hot, cold, or dusty environments
• Stand, bend, climb, and move for long periods
• Work independently or as part of a team

Qualifications

Preferred

• Experience in carpet cleaning, air duct cleaning, HVAC, restoration, or similar trades
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools/equipment
• Customer service or field service experience

Required

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to learn cleaning techniques and equipment operation
• Professional and respectful communication
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Comfortable working in residential and commercial settings
• Punctual and able to manage a daily schedule

Benefits:

• Hourly pay + commission
• Sign-on bonus: $500 after 30 days + $500 after 90 days
• Full starting rate from day one
• Advancement path as the company grows: Technician → Lead Technician → Operations Manager
