We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Forklift Operator to join a leading Company located in the Baltimore, MD surrounding area.

Salary: $39,520 - $43,680  

Job Responsibilities:  

• Operate equipment such as Powered industrial Forkliftsto perform work thatthe equipment is designed for.
• Maintains housekeeping standards as designated by locationStaff/Management.
• Come to work properly dressed withwork pants, work boots andproper PPE (glasses, goggles & gloves forexample) as well as being prepared to work outside during inclement weather.
• Must be able to recoup freight as needed & must be flexible with job assignment.
• Damage and loss control.
• Must perform all duties assigned by Management to ensure operations continue without interruption.
• Must know how to properly load/unload conveyances safely and walk off spacewithin the conveyance.
• Must know properSafe Working Load limits of equipment being used.

Maintenance:

• Responsible for checking equipment for damage or repairs as needand keeping Management informed.
• Perform daily inspection of assigned equipment and perform minor maintenance tasks.
• Minor maintenance, such as:washing, cleaning, testingequipment.

Administrative:

• Must be able to read and understand the paperwork and the task being requested from the paperwork
• Must be able to write clearly on the paperwork to answer questions being asked andfulfill operations paperwork requirements andunderstand METRICsystem.
• Must be able to clearly mark freight with Unit information for record keeping and tally freight.
• Must be able to read and understand Operations Procedures.

SAFETY:

• Shall not operate any equipment before filling out PIToperator's Pre-operation inspection report.
• Ensure that safe equipment operating conditions are met before operating and during operations.
• Must inspect and understand Rigging Requirements.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write andapply basic Mathematics concepts.
• Experience operating forklifts of various types and sizes, experience in the hold of aship.
  • If no experience in a hold, operatormust be willing to be trained
• Ability to respond to issues quickly, safely, and effectively in a fast-paced environment MUSTbe able to work in all weather elements.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
• Be willing to be part of a TEAM and work together to achieve Operational Goals.
