Job Description

Salary: $129,300 - 223,600 per year Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
• At least 2 years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling (non-internship).
• Proficiency in programming with at least one software language.

Responsibilities:

• In this position, I will be contributing to our vision by designing, developing, and testing embedded security systems software that ensures secure communications between satellites, customer terminals, and ground-based internet gateways. My key tasks will include:
• Leading the design, development, and operational management of essential embedded security capabilities for each satellite throughout its lifecycle, from launch to deorbit.
• Taking ownership of unique embedded software functions through their design, implementation (using RUST, C, C++, or similar), testing, and integration in an embedded Linux or real-time operating system (RTOS) environment.
• Creating software that interacts with electronic devices using protocols such as I2C, SPI, CAN, and UART.
• Collaborating closely with hardware teams to support board design, bring-up, verification, as well as integration and testing.
• Adhering to best practices in high-reliability embedded software development to ensure optimal satellite security and dependability.
