What You’ll Do
Position Summary:
The Driver’s Helper is to support our delivery operations. The Driver’s Helper will assist the driver with navigation, safely unload and deliver products using a dolly, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries to our customers. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist drivers in navigating delivery routes and communicating directions as needed.
Unload products safely and efficiently using a dolly and/or hand truck.
Use inclined ramps to move freight from the truck to the delivery site.
Deliver goods to customer locations and stock products in designated areas as specified by the customer.
Obtain signatures and delivery confirmations to verify successful drop-offs.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized delivery vehicle.
Assist the driver with tasks in safety-sensitive areas, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Communicate professionally with customers, demonstrate a high level of service and courtesy.
Help inspect products and packaging to ensure accuracy and condition before delivery.
Perform additional duties as directed by the driver or operations team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous delivery or warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Must be punctual, dependable, and customer focused.
Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions.
Work Environment:
Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of products.
Working in and around trucks, ramps, and warehouse docks.
May involve early mornings, overnights in a sleeper birth or hotel, extended shifts, and weekend availability.
