Typical Day in the Role:

This is a high-impact project requiring an experienced professional who can work independently while collaborating with various stakeholders including creative teams, content managers, and technical staff. This project focuses on improving the infrastructure of our AWS based content management systems. This role will evaluate current deployment solutions and work with the team to optimize and automate, deployment pipelines, security updates, monitoring and alerting solutions. Candidates who have worked at or for Amazon in a development capacity are highly preferred.

Candidate Requirements

• Expert in AWS infrastructure systems (RDS, API Gateway, CloudFormation, Lambda etc)
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code and implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Python, Ruby, Go, Java, C++, C#, or Rust
• Experience with code versioning tools such as Git
• Experience with automated unit testing and integration testing
• Experience designing and developing large-scale, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience with large-scale content management systems
• Experience with systems architecture and design
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience in communicating with other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
