As part of our growing administrative team, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support the smooth operation of our clinic.

Position Summary:

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data related to patient records, billing, scheduling, and other administrative tasks. This role is vital to ensuring efficient and accurate documentation across the clinic’s systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details into electronic medical record (EMR) systems

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate electronic and physical records

  • Ensure the integrity of data through proofreading and verification

  • Retrieve data from various sources and transfer it into appropriate formats or systems

  • Assist with billing support by entering charges and verifying insurance information

  • Communicate with team members to resolve data discrepancies or missing information

  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and protect the confidentiality of patient records

  • Support other administrative functions as needed (e.g., filing, scanning, faxing)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Previous experience in data entry or clerical work (experience in a healthcare setting preferred)

  • Strong typing skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)

  • Familiarity with EMR systems is a plus (e.g., WebPT, Kareo, etc.)

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
