Contact Center Specialist
Location: Dallas, TX | Onsite (First 2 Weeks), Remote Thereafter
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $17.50/hour
• Monday–Friday | Flexible between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• W2 | Contract-to-Hire (3–6 months, potential to convert to FTE)
ROLE IMPACT
Support one of Dallas’ leading healthcare systems by serving as the first point of contact for patients and families. In this role, you’ll ensure smooth and efficient scheduling, registration, and communication processes—delivering compassionate service that directly impacts patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Answer high-volume inbound calls and digital requests for appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
• Perform patient registration including demographic and insurance verification using EMR systems
• Provide detailed appointment instructions and pre-visit information to patients and family members
• Route calls and messages appropriately to departments or clinical providers
• Calmly de-escalate patient concerns and escalate urgent matters as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years of call center or customer service experience (preferably in healthcare)
• High school diploma or GED
• Accurate data entry and clear communication skills
• Demonstrated job stability (no frequent short-term roles)
• Flu shot required for this specific role
• Must pass background check, drug screening, and skills testing
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Web-based EMR and scheduling platforms
• Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
• Call center software and ticketing systems
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced healthcare environments
• Hospital or clinic-based call center background
