Job Description

Communication Marketing Coordinator Location Abilene, TX :

Responsible for executing marketing initiatives across various digital platforms including social media, website, email, SEO, and online review platform. The primary objective will be to create compelling and valuable content that maintains a positive brand image and promotes the Goodwill West Texas mission to the communities we serve. Collaborate with the director of communications and marketing, as well as cross-functionally with teams in mission, retail, facilities and human resources. This role will also serve as an organizational representative in the Permian Basin region of the Goodwill West Texas territory.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in marketing, communications, journalism public relations, or related field required

  • One-to-three years of relevant experience
  • Work examples related to the skills and responsibilities listed above required for an interview

QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Valid Texas Drivers License and good driving record
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience in social media management, campaigns and content creation
  • Proven experience in video and graphic design
  • Knowledge of AP style, preferred
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects/priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to think independently and solve problems with attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate patience, flexibility and professionalism in interacting with diverse audiences

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

(E) - Essential function of job duties

  • Serve as the primary content producer (graphics, video, features stories, blog posts and other written content) for Goodwill West Texas' online marketing campaigns (E)
  • Produce strategic multimedia content for social media channels in alignment with Goodwill West Texas' brand and mission (E)
  • Manage social media content calendars, schedule and monitor all content (E)
  • Collaborate with the director of communications and marketing to utilize paid social, Google Ads, SEM, and display advertising campaigns (E)
  • Cultivate and manage segment email marketing list of Goodwill audiences (E)
  • Create and execute strategic email marketing campaigns (E)
  • Manage the organization's website with timely updates to content, usability, design, and search engine optimization (SEO) strategies (E)
  • Maintain a positive online presence by updating and responding to review sites, including but not limited to, Google and Yelp (E)
  • Provide analysis of metrics to optimize media accounts to reach key performance objectives and make data-driven decisions (E)
  • Stay up to date with trends and developments to innovate marketing and communications methods (E)
  • Ensure that digital media messaging and content aligns with the visual identity and brand standards of the organization (E)
  • Produce, manage and optimize monthly newsletters (E)
  • Actively participate in community events in representation and promotion of Goodwill West Texas (E)
  • Communicate professionally and positively with co-workers and others
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
