Job Overview

California Pools is looking for a talented and detail-driven CAD/Revit Designer to join our Design & Technical Division. In this full-time, on-site role, you'll be responsible for creating clean, accurate, and highly organized construction drawings for our award-winning pool and aquatic venue projects. Your work will directly impact how projects are visualized, built, and delivered—ensuring that each plan meets the highest standards of clarity, functionality, and buildability.

  • Produce clear, organized, and build-ready construction documents using CAD and Revit.
  • Maintain proper use of line weights, colors, scales, and layers to ensure accuracy and readability.
  • Translate design concepts into technically feasible construction plans.
  • Continuously refine and improve plan sets for usability and visual presentation.
  • Collaborate with design, construction, and project management teams to ensure alignment across all project documents.
  • Assist in streamlining drafting processes and developing drafting standards.
  • Take on additional design and technical support tasks to assist teammates as needed.
  • Apply field awareness and construction knowledge to ensure designs are practical and realistic.

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in CAD/Revit drafting within a construction or architectural environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation and drafting best practices.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines with high attention to detail.
  • Motivated self-starter with a mindset for continuous improvement and team collaboration.
  • Ability to visualize designs in 3D and translate them into clear 2D construction documents.
  • Comfortable with field coordination and adapting designs based on constructability feedback.
  • Associate's degree in Drafting, Architecture, Construction Technology, or related field preferred.
  • No certifications required.

Schedule

  • Full-Time, Monday-Friday
