Imagine a role where you'll be a key player in ensuring the smooth flow of materials to manufacturing, from procurement to consumption. As a Buyer & Planner, you'll define specifications, select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and implement planning systems, all while building long-term partnerships and driving continuous improvement.
This is a full-time position in Plano, TX, with a competitive salary range of $54,600 to $75,100 per year.
What You'll Be Doing:
Optimize Material Flow: Define optimal inventory levels to ensure efficient flow, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Build Strategic Partnerships: Select suppliers based on product type, quality, and potential for long-term collaboration.
Negotiate Win-Win Contracts: Secure contracts that include favorable costs, warranties, delivery terms, and handling agreements.
Manage the Purchasing Cycle: Oversee the entire purchasing process, from purchase order creation to material consumption.
Monitor Supplier Performance: Track supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintain open communication channels.
Implement Planning Systems: Drive the implementation of the Enterprise Requirements Planning System.
Champion Continuous Improvement: Challenge the status quo and proactively drive effective execution in your role.

What We're Looking For:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a business-related discipline from an Accredited US Institution.
Experience: 3-7 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Demand Planning.
Remote Supplier Management: Experience managing remote suppliers and manufacturers.
Analytical Skills: Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
Data Analysis: Working knowledge of data analysis and forecasting tools, with the ability to develop actionable insights.
Inventory Management: Proven knowledge of inventory management principles.
Communication Skills: Effective written and oral communication skills.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
Bonus Points:
Advanced Degree: Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or an MBA.
Certifications: Certification in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the Association for Supply Chain Management.
Software Proficiency: Knowledge of operation and functionality of Business Central.
