We are seeking a Business Process Consultant to join our team. This role will involve analyzing, designing, and optimizing enterprise financial systems and business processes. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in financial systems implementations, strong knowledge of accounting and compliance frameworks, and a passion for aligning finance operations with scalable technology solutions.

The Business Process Consultant plays a critical role in analyzing and optimizing enterprise financial systems by aligning accounting, finance, and business processes with information technology solutions. As a Business Process Consultant , you will serve as a key liaison between Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to ensure financial systems support current operations, regulatory compliance, and future business growth. The Business Process Consultant will lead business process analysis, develop business rules, and support complex system integrations. This Business Process Consultant role requires strong financial systems expertise, project leadership skills, and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders. The Business Process Consultant will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior team members.

Role Complexity:
  • Intermediate professional-level role with responsibility for developing business rules and user requirements.

  • Works on multiple initiatives simultaneously and may lead projects.

  • Provides coaching and guidance to junior technical or analytical staff.

  • Supports systems that process and report financial transaction data accurately and efficiently.

  • Assists with development and implementation of financial controls to ensure statutory and internal compliance.

  • Prepares and presents project status reports to management.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Systems & Process Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end business process analysis, redesign, and optimization for financial system implementations.

  • Translate accounting and finance requirements into clear system and process specifications.

  • Ensure financial systems comply with GAAP, regulatory standards, audit requirements, and internal controls.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for accounting workflows, financial controls, and data integrity.

Business Process Engineering

  • Document current-state financial processes, identify gaps, and design future-state solutions.

  • Develop standardized, scalable financial processes aligned with enterprise strategy.

  • Define process performance metrics and reporting mechanisms.

  • Support transition activities including knowledge transfer, change management, and user adoption.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a lead or senior contributor on complex, enterprise-wide financial system initiatives.

  • Partner with Finance leadership, Accounting teams, IT, vendors, and auditors to ensure alignment.

  • Support project planning, prioritization, risk management, and issue resolution.

  • Mentor junior analysts and project team members.

Strategic Advisory & Continuous Improvement

  • Advise leadership on future-state financial systems and emerging technology opportunities.

  • Participate in continuous evaluation of financial processes to meet evolving business and regulatory needs.

  • Contribute to long-term financial process and systems roadmaps.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • 8 10 years of progressive experience in systems integrations.

  • 8+ years of experience working with financial systems and accounting processes.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP , compliance, and internal control frameworks.

  • 5+ years of experience working with ERP systems.

  • 5+ years of experience using Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting.

  • Proven analytical skills with demonstrated experience using data to drive decisions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations.

  • CPA certification strongly preferred .

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
