The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) is currently seeking an Information Technology Specialist I (IT Spec I) in the Information Technology Services Branch (ITSB), Enterprise Solutions Development Division (ESDD), Business Application Support Services (BASS).

The IT Spec I will serve as the primary administrator for CalPERS’ Microsoft Dynamics platform, supporting system configuration, workflow automation, reporting, and user management. In addition to Dynamics, this role will provide support for Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems, open enrollment processes, legacy applications and other critical business systems. Responsibilities also include routine system validations, and acting as the first point of contact for user requests across multiple systems.

Telework Information:
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Statement of Qualifications

  3. Describe how you have supported additional business applications or legacy systems (e.g., IVR, SmartDesk, LDB, EAV/ATP), including routine maintenance, system validations, or troubleshooting, and how you ensured continuity of operations.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working with business stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience developing and delivering training, documentation, and user support materials to promote system adoption and best practices.
  • Familiarity with supporting additional business applications or legacy systems (e.g., Interactive Voice Response (IVR), SmartDesk, LDB (legacy database), eav/atp (Enterprise Application Viewer/ Application Transparency Platform)) and performing routine system validations.
