Associate Creative Designer

Choice Hotels, one of the world's largest hotel brands, has an exciting new opportunity as an Associate Creative Designer on the Brand Marketing and Creative team. Brand Marketing and Creative is responsible for creating compelling, brand-relevant marketing and creative for our B2C and B2B customers. As a supporting member of the Brand Marketing and Creative team, you will work with the Creative Designer and Creative Director to combine creative innovation with marketing expertise to create engaging creative that resonates with existing and potential guests at Choice Hotels, all of this while driving bookings and brand love.

Your Responsibilities

  • Help develop and produce creative assets that align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives, effectively communicating brand value, positioning, and personality.
  • Adapt existing creative for multiple platforms, including social media, email, and web, while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Source and organize photography, graphic, and logo files.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to edit and refine creative.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant.
  • Create on-brand and engaging presentations and decks

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art & Design, or a related creative field.
  • 25 years of experience in graphic design within branding, advertising, agency, or in-house marketing environments.
  • Strong understanding of consumer brand principles and marketing.
  • Ability to take direction from the Creative Director and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating work across various platforms, including email, web, digital, and social media.
  • Creative vision and the ability to track and apply design trends to help evolve omnichannel marketing efforts.
  • Excellent brainstorming, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge); experience with PowerPoint, Figma, and After Effects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of graphic design principles: layout, typography, color, and art direction.
  • A refined design aesthetic, taste level and understanding of what resonates with audiences

Your Team

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Creative Designer. You will have 5 peer teammates and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.

Your Work Location

As our Associate Creative Designer, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we're located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.

Right now, our associates in corporate headquarters are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtually from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $90,000 annually.

The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
